Question About Strut Brace for AWD V70-XC70 1998

I was doing some research on a strut brace for my 98 V70 AWD. I know there are lots of options out there, IPD, CFI but when I looked at Volvo parts, the strut brace that they listed stated that it is not for the AWD model. Hmmmm what is unique about the AWD that you can't put a front strut bar there? Now I'm wondering if the IPD and CFI ones are good for the AWD model? Anyone installed one for the AWD model and if so ... which one did you end up going with?
