I live in San diego Ca,
Here, the "winter" switch on an 850 is used about as often as soap in Afganistan. But, two nights ago we had a hail storm. After peeling out at every green light, I remembered the "winter" button I've seen so many times before. I clicked it and the tires stopped spinning out. It made the engine sound as if I was riding the clutch. I have an automatic. It kind of crept into gear as opposed to "going forward". The function worked VERY well, but my question remains, is this bad for the tranny?
