I'm trying to replace the cabin blower motor and I wanted to make sure this mystery hot spot in the center console won't interfere with that. Cabin blower started failing over the summer and I noticed that when the A/C was on it was very hot to the touch. Even with the fan knob switched to "off" it's still warm. I think it sounds like a short but I'm still a novice and I'm not sure what I'm talking about. Does anyone know what this is?
EDIT: After doing some more research the hot spot appears to correspond to the location of one of the climate control bulbs. If the bulb is burned out or something else is wrong with it, would that produce a lot of heat?
