front hood latch lubrication points

Last winter my hood latch jammed (2004 NA v70) for the very first time. This summer I've had no problems.

Where are the potential hang ups and what's the best fix.

I don't recall whether I couldn't open it or it wouldn't close. But both are bad.

I'm stuck on Volvo and Volvo's stuck on me....when it comes to FWD I always listen to the "Oracle of Minnesota'
