Well my bulletproof 88 740 Turbo with 319K on the clock was the victim of a hit and run last week and the insurance company just laughed when I asked if it could fixed, so I need to replace it. I've always loved the v70 wagons but I've come to learn there are some years to avoid. I was searching the site for a buyers guide but did not find one, so I've been searching threads picking up bits and pieces. I have only about 5K to spend, but the cars I'm seeing in that range are typically 2001-05 with around 130-150K on them. They appear to be nice cars but I'm starting to suspect the price is accounting for transmission and other problems that hit these cars around this mileage.

Can anyone offer some advice on what years to consider and what price ranges are expected? Thanks in advance.
