drivers side seat belt catch replacement procedure.

I have a 2010 XC-60 which needs to have the driver side seat belt catch replaced. I have the new catch and the necessary tools but the clearance to fit a torx driver is too tight. Does the drivers seat have to be removed or simply unbolted and moved? What is the correct procedure?
