Fornt spring: deformed or heavy duty?

'98 S70, with unknown history. I'm rebuidling the front struts and notice that the driver's side spring looks deformed. Namely, both the coil diameter and spacing looks larger toward the strut mount. At first, I assumed it was deformed. But now I'm wondering if it's maybe a heavy duty replacement. How do I recognize a heavy duty spring?

And what would you do about a deformed or mismatched spring on the driver's side, having already rebuilt and reinstalled the passenger side?
