'04 V70 T5 AWD Throttle Response V70-XC70 2004

I'm new to Volvos with front wheel drive, automatic transmission, and ETM. On my RWD Volvos the car scoots forward immediately upon depressing the accelerator. On the V70, I need to press the throttle down a lot further before the car will rapidly move forward. Shifting is smooth, engagement when shifter moved to D is immediate, there's no jerking or delayed shifts. Is the something usual for the ETM equipped cars or do I need to look further for the cause? Thanks.
