Intermittent Ignition Switch Probs. S70 1998

Approximately half the times that I start my car, none of the internal or external lights come on and I cannot move the gear selecter from Park. The remedy is to barely press the key upward after the engine is running. Then everything works fine. The problem is significantly worse in warm weather.

Is there a known fix besides taking it back to the dealer?

P.S. I just replaced brake pads & rotors using bay13 excellent instructions. Nils Sefeldt mail order was outstanding.
