This is an odd question to ask on a forum devoted to folks diagnosing and fixing their own problems...but I'll ask anyway*.
Our S80 qualified for Volvo's extended warranty when we bought it used. That runs out this September. Yesterday, I got a quote from the local dealership for a five-year extension on the warranty that would cover, basically, all the mechanical and electric/electronic parts. We've had some teething pains with this car, and I honestly don't want to get involved with all the insanely sophisticated and thus insanely complex electronic stuff on this car, which includes the fancy keyless remote.
So I'm asking opinions: do folks think the $3000-4000 premium, depending on deductible, is worth it for five years of coverage?
*Moderators: I wasn't able to find the forum rules, so apologize in advance if this is an off-limits question, and will certainly understand that, if it is, you'll pull it.
