The Mystery Continues...1996 Volvo 850: ECC (Electronic Climate Control)

We have a 1996 Volvo 850 non-turbo. Recently, the two lights (REC and AC on the Dashboard Temperature Control Module) began flashing for ~20 seconds. The heater blower no longer functions. The problem allegedly was diagnosed as a faulty Temperature Control Module (which has automatic climate control). After acquiring TWO replacement Temperature Control Module, we installed each separately and experienced the same problem. We would be thankful to hear about any other possible cause of this problem. We have checked and already ruled out:

blown fuses
bad blower motor

Is there a relay controlling the heater blower? If so, could anyone tell me where I could find it? If not, other than perhaps temperature sensors, what else could be the cause? I understand that there is a motor resistor however, I am also not sure where I can find it.

Any information will be greatly appreciated!!

Many thanks,

OnlyVolvo
