Every day I check the trunk drain holes and somehow they attract maple tree seeds.
You know those pesky little one blade propellers that are just right to plug up
the trunk deck drains.

I cut two small sections of some scrap brass screen about 1 1/2" square
and brought out a box of drill bits and used one very sloppy in the hole,
just press the screen in 3/8-1/2" or so and flatten the rest.

It's gotta be easier to flip stuff off those screens than dig out all that compost with a bicycle spoke or hope the leaf blower works.
