Timing belt and heater hose replacement 850

Looking on-line and in the Haynes the timing belt replacement looks straight forward. Hard parts seem like finding the timing marks, and working in cramped area. Do you need a crank pulley locking tool, or can you use something like ty-wraps to hold the pulleys together? My local Volvo mechanic quoted 3 to 400 for the timing belt replacement. But if I can I would rather save and do it myself.

For the heater hoses, how do you remove the plastic/O-ring clips? Any special tools required?

I have a good set of tools in my garage, have done the t belt on 240s and Subaru's.
