Excessive Crankcase Pressure - Already replaced PCV V70-XC70 1998

1998 V70XC 130k miles

So, like the title says, I replaced the PCV system (entirely), and cleaned out all of the oil passage, ~1k miles ago.

Replaced the inner/outer tie rods yesterday, went for a test drive, and heard a loud engine ticking. Realized the car was low on oil - filled 'er back up and the ticking left.

Now there is a good bit of crankcase pressure... I don't know how long it has been like this - but there was a vacuum at the filler cap after I did the PCV work. Something happened, and I don't know what it could be.

Checked all PCV hoses I could reach.

Will be checking (after work):
PTC cleanliness
Compression

Any other ideas on what it could be? I seafoamed the intake (and added a half can to the gas tank) this morning - no help from that as of yet.

Thanks guys - this car is starting to frustrate me. Rebuilt the PCV system, replaced all front suspension/steering components (not the rack/pinion), top engine mounts, trans mount, heater core and hoses, and flushed the transmission since I got it at 122k miles. Has excellent service records, too. Blah.

Michael
