I recently purchased a 1998 V70 with 117K miles. Just looked at the spark plugs for the first time. They are 3 prong Volvo with these numbers stamped in the base:
402 X 9146775
I pulled one plug, the insulator is a nice tan color. The gap from the edge of the center electrode to any of the 3 side electrodes is about 60 thousandths of an inch (1.5mm). Is that an excessive gap ? It is a lot more than I am used to on a standard plug. I dont know how old the plugs are but am guessing that they should be replaced.
Thanks,
Mike
