What's causing sidewall bubbles?
I recall a past C70 thread commenting Pirelli P6000's, so I thought you guys might know.
I have 235/45-17 Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce on my 2001 V70T5 with 5500 miles on them. I just noticed that on my front left tire, a bubble about the size of my thumb has appeared on the sidewall, right before the "P" in P6000. I wasn't too worried until I read a recent post on a S60 forum on another board. Since the car is less than 1 year old, is this something my dealer will handle/cover under warranty, or do I have to bring it to an authorized Pirelli tire store? I think I only have 1 year to report manufacturer defects for a free replacement... but I'm not sure.
Thanks,
Rob

>To put it short I have had bad luck with these P6 tires. At 2300 miles my left rear developed a bubble in the side wall. Then less than a week later is bursted while I was driving. Last week I hit a pothole not a crater and the side wall was punctured by the mounting weight. And not to my surprise as I was washing my car today i notice anothe bubble in my right rear tire. I wish to know if more people have had this same type of problem with these tires. I feel my troubles will be solve once I purchase my 18inch BBS and I think I will go with a different tire company. I have really lost faith in Pirelli
