Klaus, Help!


Received the new MAF from FCP today, plugged it in, and all seemed well as it started right up.

I took it out for a drive to Home Depot. Picked up what I needed and went to leave. Started the car and went to put it in gear and it died. ARGH and No CEL.

Had to unplug the MAF just to get it to start again so that I could get home.

While on the way home I made a hard stop and the dashboard trip computer area started displaying "disc" and flashing between that and the odometer.

What that heck man? What is going on?

I now know I need a ETM which sucks, which means I need to take it to a dealer to program, which sucks even more. What I don't know or understand is what is going on with my trip computer???? The ABS light didn't come on or anything like that so I have no idea why the trip computer is displaying "disc".

Any and all help on this would be a great help. I'll be calling my mechanic tomorrow to see what he can do.
