So the wife's XC leaked most of it transmission fluid and ran dry (almost) to the point where car wont move..if i add fluid i still managed to move it to the driveway. car now makes an awfull scrapping noise (trans pump running dry?)
in any effect i want to fix this..
what are my options?

Remove the tranny and..

Rebuild this one w a new pump?
i guess this is the harder route, where would one get the rebuild kits for these? is there even such a thing?

install a used FWD only unit..this XC has been fwd only for some time..
