Towing with the FWD V-70 V70-XC70

I'm thinking of towing a toyota pick-up truck with my year 2000 Volvo FWD V-70 with 120,000 miles on it and running well. Has anyone out there towed with a vehicle like this? Will it melt the transmission or should a change out the fluid in it? It could be a long tow maybe 2400 miles. I could put the truck on a trailer but that would increase the weight to be towed. Any experience with this from anyone? Thanks and may your electronic throttle modules never fail
