Gear select lever stuck in park S60 2007

Sometimes I can't remove the gear selector from park. I press on the brake and can feel the shift lock move but not always can move the gear selector. I've been told that the shift lock needs cleaned. Does anyone have directions on how to remove the center console to access the lock. Assuming this is the problem. Thanks.
