This query actually covers two cars: 2007 S60 2.5T AWD, 47,000 miles; and 2008 XC70 3.2, 51,000 miles. I bought them both new and I inquired about extending the warranties on both. Depending on the deductible and level of coverage (mostly powertrain vs. 90 percent), an additional 48 months to 100,000 miles max will cost a combined $3,100 to $6,100. Is this worth the expediture? I really like the cars and they have had no major problems, other than both the rear wheel bearings had to be replaced on the S60 under warranty. Please let me know. It strikes me as a hell of a lot of money.
