Turbo Failure 850

I'm wondering, what are the symptoms of a bad or aging turbo unit? I'm getting thick blue exhaust when I slow down or turn. Also an oil leak dripped in a straight line a little over a foot long, couple inches wide, coming out from near the radiator. Plugs aren't fouling and power seems OK. The engine has somewhere near 200K miles on it but runs strong.
