APP for the roof rack wreck

FYI. The local newpaper ran a story today about a new phine APP for those who might forget that a bicycle or tall luggage rack is on top of the car before pulling into the garage.

Check out www.bikesavr.com for the details. I just remember a video many years ago, a guy driving around in a multi-story parking garage when he couldn't find a place to park outside and made a dash for the covered part of the garage. Unfortunately, the clearance was only 7ft and it pushed the bikes down on the roof. Totaled the car and the bikes! The APP won't help for that, but will keep you from returning to your garage and pulling in with a load up top.
