I rebuilt my head about five years ago. The car ran fine but leaked a lot of oil from the cam at the camshaft positioner end.
I re-installed the seal using a bit of silicone. Just last week the car started leaking again, and I found the seal had popped out.
Is it possible that I have crank-case pressure popping the seal out? The car runs great, I don't think there is a serious issue.
I'm stumped. I'm going to install a new seal, add a bit of silicone to lock in place better...but I'm not sure why this happened.
