Volvo S40 CD Changers (Alpine) 2001

I was told that the Alpine CD Changers are the only ones that

can fit on the S40. I was wondering if they will be compatible

on the 2001 models. I have found OEM adapters for the 2000 year

S40 but none of the 2001 models. Will I be able to use this cd

changer for my car? Will they play CDRs?
