I have been hearing a clicking/clacking/tapping noise from inside the dash lately.
I pulled the glovebox out this morning to have a look/listen and isolated the noise down to a particular item inside the dash.
It's a black box with a multi-pin electrical connector attached to the side of the 'main' climate control duct. I took a couple of pictures to help point out where it is.

I am pretty sure it's part of the climate control system, but I don't know exactly what it does, nor do I have any idea how to service it. It seems pretty tough to get to - I'm not really thrilled at the idea of pulling the dash top to access this thing...
also I have no idea what's wrong with it - is it something I can fix/repair/clean/etc, or am I looking at finding a replacement, or am I just doomed to hear that clicking noise forever?
Any help will be greatly appreciated with this. I really don't know where to start.
