Bent Rim Remedies? 850 1995

I have a T-5R 17in. rim with a dent in it that's causing a really slow air leak. I'm fed up with this car and really don't care very much about it and was wondering if it would be absurd of me to just seal up the area that's leaking with RTV high temp/pressure sealant; I would apply it inbetween the rim and the tire. This is a really lame quick fix but I was wondering if anyone had any really really good reasons not to do it. Thanks a lot everyone.
