Proper Cleaning sequence for the 1999 Throttle Body V70-XC70

I have a 99 V70, and I get an occasional hesitation when hitting the gas from a stop. I also get an occasional rpm drop at idle. These things I know are commonly caused by a dirty throttle body, but on this car it is the 10 pound monster TB. I didnt know if these are just cleaned like the other ones where you scrub around the butterfly and blast it out with carb cleaner, or do you disassemble the whole thing and take that route?
It looks like a much more complex and time consuming process if I have to take the whole thing apart?
