Plastic sounding rattle from the light control panel 850 1996

Hello All,

I have 1996 850 GLT wagon with 225,000 miles on it. Recently, it has developed a "plastic" sounding rattle coming from the control panel in the roof that contains the various interior light switches. I have the Volvo accessory sunglasses holder attached to this panel, and I thought the sound was coming from the sunglasses in the holder. I removed the sunglasses and I still heard this plastic rattle. I pressed my hand against the control panel and the rattle persists.

The noise might be coming from the plastic rim that runs the length of the moon roof opening. It's tough to isolate the source of this rattle noise because you only hear it while the car is in motion. I've pressed my hand against different areas where is appears the rattle noise is coming from but it doesn't stop it. It sounds as though the rattle is coming directly behind the interior light control panel.

Has any one else experienced this rattle? If so, how did you eliminate it. Thanks to all who reply.
