Hello all,
The full service car wash place was kind enough to break my ignition tumbler and steering column shroud. I have no idea how one can do this. They are denying that they broke it and are pointing the finger back at me. They have agreed to pay half of the $648.00 (parts and labor), which I'm still not happy with. I had to get the car towed to my indy shop since the car was inop on their property (they didn't even offer to give me a ride...had to hitch a ride with the tow truck driver).
Is the key tumbler a problem for this year and model of Volvo? The only thing i can think of is the key might have been hard to move once engaged, and instead of turning the steering wheel, someone forced it into the crank position. The thing that really makes me angry is whoever broke it didn't fess up. I wouldn't have been as angry if someone would have at least reported it. The regional director was the one that accused me of breaking my car and blaming them.....how do you like that. I take all my vehicles every weekend to this place, since 2007.
I've come to realise that people just don't give a rats a$$.
