Mileage report V70-XC70 00'

Well I actually checked the gas mileage for the first time. Car milage 22k. Using Mobile 1. I tried to fill the tank up on level surface to the same spot.

Test # 1

Actual Economy was 24.4 MPG compared to the computer estimate of 25.4 MPG over a 454 mile run. The avg. temp was 20 f and wind was very calm. Average speed was 76 MPH.

Test #2

Actual economy was 23.1 MPG compared to comp. est. of 22.9 MPG. very close.

Dist of test was 410 miles. The avg temp was 30 f. The wind was pretty high, Maybe 10 MPH headwind component, for a large portion of the trip.

For both trips I had the vovlo cross bars on. without ski racks..

Prior trips with skis have been near 20 MPG according to the computer and with the Thule box on top near 18 MPG and you just cant cruise very fast.

Around town I think I get around 20 MPG
