Third brake light seepage S70 1998

I took a look, and I can see a gap between the housing and the window that closes as I press upwards on the headliner (which goes under the housing) (not good). Light leaks everywhere right now.

There are two rectangular pieces with slots that look like they support the headliner at the rear, and they remain staionary as I press up. Do I use a flat screwdriver to release these clips?

Any thoughts, experiences with correcting this? I have never gotten into headliner work, and I didn't want to start. Looks like I have to loosen the back of the headliner to inspect.
