Oil Cooler Line - how to remove bracket? V70-XC70 1998

1998 V70R AWD

Need to replace the oil cooler line (lower) because it weeps from a pin hole in the rubber hose section.

I can barely get a socket onto the 10mm (?) hex bolt that attaches both the lower and upper line (via brackets on the metal sections) to the oil pan (I think..). If I won't get a socket on there nice and straight, the head will get messed up.

Thought about removing the bracket with a cutting wheel, but I don't see a good way to then attach the new bracket. Having solid attachment of the lines via these brackets seems to be essential, so it's probably a bad idea to mess around anyway.

Any suggestions?
