O2 sensor, how many and which one is bad? 1995

For about 6 weeks now I've been getting "check engine" with code 4-3-5 in the ECU ("heated o2 sensor slow to respond"). I continually reset the code and it reoccurs about once a week. So I think the sensor has to be replaced. I called my favorite Volvo parts place and they said "Which one, the front or the rear?" I didn't know there were two. How do I tell which one is failing, especially since this looks to be an intermittent problem?

NA engine, btw.

Thanks for helping to keep the wife happy.
