I Like 850s 850

OK, so I have owned four Volvos now. Had 93 940 wagon...great car.Sold it. A 98 V90...maybe the best car I ever owned.Sold it. Still have a 94 940 NA for my daughter it is a tank that just keeps running perfectly. Everything works and it has the best seat heaters you would ever want in a car. I added a 95 850T just before Christmas 09 and it had some initial issues:fuel pump, oil cooler lines, leaking distributor seal, front struts and spring seats, heater core and turbo hoses.

I did the heater core myself and turbo hoses myself. Got a good price on the struts from Sears and had the other items taken care of by my Volvo indy. I paid $2500 for the car and put about $1800 into it. It has 134K...I know it will be due for a timing belt job in a few months. But I have to say, it is a great driving car. It's for my son, but I would trade in heartbeat for my 2000 9-5 Saab Gary Fisher wagon...which is a good car as well, but quite different from the Volvos!
All in all, I had my doubts about the 850 in the beginning, but it is rock solid with the punchlist items squared away. It is a smooth driver, burns no oil to speak of, gets out of it's own way in a hurry on the cheapest gas I can put in it. Everything works including the antenna after 134K...impressive. Oh and a big shout out of thanks to you guys here on BB for the advice and help. Makes owning this baby fun.
Guess I have to give it back to my kid now!
