Hello again lads.
For the last couple years, I've been spraying the antenna with WD40 periodically when the antenna only went half way up when turning on the radio or starting the car.
I was pulling up on the tip to get it to extend fully during the motorized process. Now it seems I pulled little too hard and busted something. I used a clamp style paper clip to keep the antenna up and bring in a static free AM signal, but the FM band is dead.
I'm willing to live with the antenna up all the time, but I miss my FM.
Anybody have an idea what I can do to receive both AM and FM without repairing the whole motorized system? The motor shuts down after maybe 15-20 seconds or so when turning off the car.
Is the only option a complete repair, or replacement?
Thanks!
