O.K., so my window has been sounding like metal against glass as it rolls down for the past couple of months, so I have a few minutes yesterday and pull the door panel---Out of all the door panels I have removed in the past, this was by far the easiest ever--Like that Volvo "1 screw mentality". Anyhow, sure enough the lower track on the rearmost window frame has lost its rubber/fuzz moulding--and knowing gravity and such I stick a trusty mirror down in the door and find the rubber and extract it to find that it is made with a little hole and split to attach to a tang on the metal frame--Who in their right mind thinks that a system like that is going to last? Well, mine lasted 2 years and 50k miles--oh well, a little "gorilla snot" and nimble fingers and the track works like silk again. Does Volvo have something against glue? I know, the stuff I used was probably toxic--killed at least 10-15 tiger mosquitos in my garage and gave me a good buzz, but what gives?
