The procedure outlined on Bay 13 for a 1999 S70 AWD 4 speed auto transmission fluid change states that the top line is easier to remove, but if done that way the fluid in the cooler does not get replaced. Two questions come to mind:
1) Can the same procedure be followed by removing the lower hose, there by flushing the cooler as well? How much additional fluid would be required - one quart?
2) If the lower line is removed, can a funnel be attached to the line - back to the transmission - and be filled with fluid to replace the fluid coming out of the radiator lower attachment. Does the transmission actively pump in fluid via the lower line?
Finally, once the line is removed from the radiator, is the original clamp replaced with a new hose clamp or can the factory clamp be reused. (I would suspect replacement but not clear).
Thank you in advance.
