I have a 1987 Volvo Sedan 760 GLE.
Problem noticed in 1997: When I apply the brakes at 50 KM or more, I experience severe vibration in the front tires. This vibration is felt in the brake pedal and especially in the steering wheel. The higher the speed at which braking takes place, the greater the vibration.
Things replaced thus far in search of a remedy WITH NO SUCCESS:
i. 2 sets of rotors (Volvo originals 1996; Italian off markets 2000)
ii. new brake pads (2001)
iii. rebuilt calipers (2001)
iv. all 4 A-arm bushings (front suspension)(2001)
v. all 4 bushings on stablizer bar tie ends (2001)
vi. rear brake rotors new (1996)
vii. rear brake pads checked OK (2001)
viii. new tires (2000)
ix. new ABS sprockets
Can anyone help in resolving this mystery?
Thanx. Calogero
