How do I remove the stock stereo w/cd changer XC90 2003

Hello-

Well, I am on my third stereo in this car and since I am unable to upgrade (due to wiring harness compatibility issues, is this really true?) to the newer Volvo stock stereo....and I am in no rush to by another one of the same.... I need some advice.

My cd changer has a cd jammed in it, so I need to try to get it out. I need to know how to remove the center console and appropriate panels in order to access the stereo & any preventative measures I should take (ie: disconnect battery, little plastic tabs that break, the usual stuff).

The clicking when I turn on my car from the cd player trying to work is most likely not helping the situation.... strange thing is that it happens even if I am listening to the radio.... it goes away after awhile.... but I am not hip on using my receiver for my ipod too often since it takes my eyes of the road.

I really miss my 6 cd changer! The long rides are just not the same.

Many Thanks!

Anastasia
