I have a 904 850 with auto trans. My wife drives this regularly, and we just rturned from a 600 mile trip in it. It drove perfectly except for the car 'bogging down' climbing some grades near our home. The slow down was much more than normal, the trans downshifted as it should under these load conditions, but even flooring it, the engine just did not respond. Later on, full normal power restored itself. THis problem has happened to my wife about three different times in the last 1500 miles. The engine seems to be firing on all 5 cylinders all the time, even when bogged down. Anyone have any ideas as to what to chase?
I recently replaced the fuel pump relay due to a random stalling problem which the new relay seems to have cured. This power loss problem had occurred before relay replacement.
Thanks very much for any help. Jim Dworschack, WIsconsin
