HU 801 stereo S80

Hi all,

I replaced a non-working HU-801 stereo in my S80 with a used unit. After install all is working as it should, but the illumination. Checked the bulbs and they are all OK. Any ideas what to check next? It's driving me nuts not being able to see controls at night.
Could it be that unit needs some sort or "reprograming" at the dealers?
