reliability? 850 95

I have now narrowed my car search down to a 1995 850 GLT that appears to be well taken care of, has it's book stamped at the appropriate intervals, and has 107,000 miles.

Nevertheless, I am concerned about the ability of this car to last. I have a 240 currently (84 - 205,000 miles) and it has been a great car. I could continue to drive it but I would really like something newer.

I am aware of the 850 evaporator problem. My question is: could I put 200,000 or 300,000 miles on a well cared for 850? I would like to drive the next car I get for 100,000 miles (5 years or so).

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks brett - Austin, Texas
