I want to purchase a sweet S60 T5 that is for sale in my town, one-owner, 97k miles, has maintenance records, etc. But I'm very afraid beacuse it is a 2001 or 2002 model and I've heard so many bad things about the ETM problem. My current ride is a 1998 S70 GLT, the last year with a "real" throttle linkage.
Is there a good fix or replacement for the S60 ETM part (not just software), or should I just not buy any S60 from these "bad" years? I really like the car, just don't want to get stranded. If bought, it would be my 4th Volvo.
