Teenager monitoring tool for 1995 850 850

I'm sure many of you have had a new driver in the family. My son is always talking about speed (not that our 1995 GTA will be a big help for him) but I want to find some type of monitoring device that can tell me how fast he is going, lateral G's, stopping etc. I believe I have read that there are devices that can be installed in cars or plugged into the OBD plugs. Has anyone done this with their 850? I can appreciate a good spirited drive myself (I have a 2005 V70R and 1984 Carrera) but my 16 year old is too fascinated with speed and not experienced. A watchful eye will do the job of keeping his testosterone in check (and allow my 95 850 to be available for the younger kids in the family one day.) My goal is to get him a year of experience and then send him to driving school to learn more from the pro's. Any help keeping this kid safe is greatly appreciated.
