Okay, just finished the 22.5K mile service including brake check and tire rotation. When I went to pull the wheels off, they were stuck the the hubs due to oxidation between the alloy rims and the steel hub (galvanic reaction I assume).
I wound up brushing the rust off the hub and cleaning the oxidation off the rim. After that, I applied a very thin coat of bearing grease to the steel hub/face and reinstalled the rims.
Should this take care of the problem in the future, or is there another trick I should employ?
Thank you,
John Orrell
