Need expert help. To make a long story short, I was installing a dome light in my 2000 s70 glt and was hooking up a relay to the map lights up front. I didn't disconnect the battery like i was supposed to and when I was connecting wires I must have shorted something out. The alarm went off, even though I was sitting in the car with the doors unlocked. Turned the alarm off with the key fob. Now the chime that is supposed to go off when you have the key in the ignition with the drivers door open now goes off anytime the key is in the ignition, even with the door closed. Had to take the relay out to keep my sanity. The dash light says that the trunk is open, even though it's closed. None of the interior lights come on at all. And the glove box light doesn't come on. The crazy part is that if I turn the map light master switch to the off position the chimeing will stop, the glove box light will come back on, and the trunk open dash light will go out. But the interior lights still won't come on. When I turn the switch back to the door position it stays the same. But it gets crazy again if I try to turn the map lights on again. Also noticed at one point that the alarm light on the top of the dash was blinking real fast until I turned the alarm off. I checked the fuse and it was still good. I also disconnected the battery for a 2 and a half hours but nothing. It still drives the same so that's good but at night it's dark as hell in my car and it's driving me nuts. What can i do besides taking it to the shop. Sorry this is so long but I was trying to be as detailed as possible. HELP!
