I dropped a replacement engine into my S70 and now I cannot get any heat. I installed a new water pump. The engine heats up normal but after driving it for many miles I can still put my hand on both pipes connected to the heater. They remain cold. I blew all fluid out when I had the engine out. I am not sure if I have the hoses connected properly and don't know if it makes any difference. The long hose from the block is connected to the bottom heater connector and the short one from the pipe along the back of the block is connected to the top. That is the way they appear to lay the best. It does not look like I can reverse them.
Does anyone have a clue aa to what is going On? I have driven the car enough to burn up a tank of gas in hot weather with the AC on, so I am sure the rest of the circulation system is in order and all air should be purged from the system. The wife likes the ice cold AC for now but will be looking for some heat soon.
Replies appreciated.
