A short circuit that draws down the battery when the car is parked has gotten so bad that the battery is drained overnight. I took it to a volvo mechanic in Caldwell NJ, who was able to identify the circuit by pulling fuses, but was unable to find the short. If I open the hood and remove the fuse when I park for the night, the car is fine. If I leave the fuse out, I loose the interior courtesy light and the keyless entry system, which I can live without, but there is a warning chime that will not turn off after the car is started and the seat-belts are fastened.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to locate the short or disable the chime? Does anyone know a volo mechanic in the metro NYC area that could fix this quickly?
