A/C Compressor getting noisy? 85K miles only. 850 1995

The compressor seems to be getting noisy/grumbly. It's been like this for a while. 13 years old but only 85K miles in NYC climate. Is this baby going to seize on me? Should I take it to volvo? What is the life expectancy on these compressors? What is a good replacement price compared to what volvo might charge me? Thanks in advance. Does blow cool, and was serviced once 7 years ago when it lost some refrigerant.
